We cleaned it up, made it more functional - it sold in 3 days. Removing the hedges made a huge difference. New color and a path for the eye to follow solved this issue. We traded the office for a bedroom opening the space and letting it breathe. A chair rail, coat of paint and a trade of furniture turned it into a great office. Replacing the face of the cabinets with etched glass made it feel deeper and larger. Making a way for the sunlight to get in and a lighter wall color brightened it up. A piece of it was repurposed in the master bedroom while other seating was made available. An extra dresser was great for extra storage while the mirror made it appear larger. We placed the bed along a wall and created a sitting area. Appropriate furniture and artwork along with an area rug softened it up. Placing the bed against the wall and a rug on the floor created a space with purpose. A 'seaside' theme was easily incorporated. Repurposing a pit couch and a coat of paint creates a wonderful family space. A warm, complimentary wall color and art work warm it up. Window treatments, art work, a coat of paint and some accessories make it feel like home.
